Michigan state employees want less salary transparency

One of the more controversial practices at Worcester Indymedia is publishing lists of salaries of municipal employees.

I was reminded of this while reading an item at Romenesko about Michigan:

The Lansing paper's list of state employee salaries is so popular that Thursday morning's traffic crashed the server. A staffer tells Romenesko that "readers are flooding the e-mail with cancellations and disgust."

Correction to the CORI Reform Hearing event: For people who want to go to the informational event on CORI reform at Clark Unversity on September 12th, the starting time for that is 5pm(not 7pm).

But everything else is correct: people are leaving Worcester from City Hall to get to the 1:00 pm Hearing at State House on the 18th, you should call 508-410-7676 for your free bus seat!
