The Central Massachusetts Arts Assembly (CMAA) seeks to take a stab at complacency and cynicism by promoting the arts in and around the greater Worcester area. Its first project (called DC-FIY Dont Complain, Fix It Yourself) is to secure a venue in which to empower individuals to run affordable, all-ages performance events (music, theater, spoken word, comedy, improv, etc) as well as hosting art galleries, studios, dark rooms, film showings, a small press library, etc. The space would also be used as a community center to hold art classes, how-to clinics, meetings, and discussion groups.
