South Asian Women for Action (SAWA) is a Boston-based, progressive, non-hierarchical collective of women of South Asian descent. Members of SAWA Organize and dialogue across lines of age, class, sexuality, race, religion and language, Articulate what it means for us to be living as South Asian women in the United States, Give our experiences political and creative expressions through a variety of media like visual art, theater, and writing, Speak out and strategize against all kinds of discrimination. We are committed to acting on, advocating and continually revising our agenda along with other progressive groups in our fight for social and economic justice.
