Welcome to Worcester Activist's wiki. It's a wide-open web space that you can use to post information about activism in Worcester. Anyone can create a page and anyone edit any page, so we don't need to depend on a few editors to keep everything updated. If you're posting news or other more time sensitive information, you probably want to post it to our blog.

One of the challenges of activism in Worcester, Massachusetts is that current activists are often unaware of work being done by other activists in the city, and folks who are newly arrived, or unconnected to the existing network of progressive or radical activism, sometimes find it hard to find a way in. This activist directory is a simple attempt to help folks in Worcester overcome this challenge.

We hope to make it easier for current activists to keep up with what's going on in the city/what resources exist, and to also make it easier for newcomers to plug-in with what's already here (or help folks identify more easily the kind of work that needs to get done but isn't being taken on yet by anyone in the city). Our hope is that this will help bring our social justice efforts together, encourage collaboration between activists and groups, grow existing projects and organizations and help us all with our work to make Worcester and the rest of the world more just, more beautiful.

We hope folks will be as surprised and inspired by all the great work that's already going on here as we have been.
